What did you learn about the life and times of Patrick Henry?
Life seemed pretty risky in terms of making a difference in the world yet ironically the times seemed easily moldable and people would be willing to do anything for revolution. -Made speeches supporting Amarican democracy -Struggled to become a succesful storekeeper -Self taught lawyer -Helped influence Virginia's state constitution -Crafting speeches on the spot, he proved to be the rhetorical background of the American Revolution.
-Accused of treason for speaking against the parliament and the king -Went from a storekeeper, and tobacco planter to a self taught lawyer -Helped write the Virginia declaration of rights, Influenced the bill of rights -Created speeches on the spot, with the same amount of inspiration -Believed if the government conceals information from its people, the liberties of the people will not be secure

One of his quote's where "The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be, secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them."
